Something old, something new

two purple iris flowers blooming behind a silver Jeep

If you don't have other plans, here's an idea:

Do something new and different today. Something surprising, maybe.

Also, today, do something familiar and comfortable and soothing.

If that feels good, consider doing it every day.

  1. Marty still has that jeep nearly four years later, and it still looks nearly as good.

The stump in the photo was moved a couple of days ago to hold a plastic half-barrel, to hold the water that comes out of our new evaporative cooler. Old coolers just had the water sit there, but this one has a tube taking water out so the water is always fresh when the pump is on. Keith pulled the little tube out of the drain where the plumbers had put it, and ran it down into this barrel, from which we can water plants in the front of the house. It seems precariously perched, but if it leans it will lean into some trees.

The flowers haven't bloomed there yet this year, but they will!
