Eight years later, I've come to leave a note about that building.
ReplyDeleteIt IS post-and-beam, and beautifully old, but it's in France. The shutters are on the outside (Brits put them inside), and between the posts and beams they have brickwork. Tudor buildings have wattle and daub, most often, I think (the precursor of lath and plaster—woven fence, covered in mud).
